ST. JOHN’S, Antigua, CMC – A snorkelling trip to an Antigua and Barbuda attraction turned tragic for an American couple with the drowning death of the husband.

Steven Woods, 50, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, who officials said had a history of heart-related medical problems, arrived in the country on Wednesday with his wife Lisa onboard Princess Cruise Lines.

He got into difficulties while snorkelling at Paradise Reef and was pulled from the water by a tour representative and taken back to the vessel for medical attention.

However, he was pronounced dead by medical personnel on the ship.
